    Journal of Tea Science is sponsored by the China Tea Science Society and the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, edited and published by the editorial office of the Journal of Tea Science. It is one of Chinese core journals, the key magazines of China technology and the journals in the Chinese Science Citation Database. It has been included in the foreign databases such as CA, CABI, CBST, EBSCO and the domestic databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), Chaoxing Periodicals, China's Lifelong Education Academic Research Database (CLEARD). The evaluation indicators for the journal evaluation like the impact factor list at the top of the same category of journals. The Journal of Tea Science, with a purpose of carrying out academic controversy and promoting academic exchanges to raise the level of tea science and promote the development of tea science and tea industry, mainly reports the latest tea-related research achievements, concerning tea plant cultivation, tea plant genetics and breeding, tea plant pest control, tea processing, tea biochemistry, tea machinery, tea technology, tea economy, tea history and culture, comprehensive utilization of tea, nutrition and health, etc. In the future, we will continue to expand the scope of coverage according to actual situation to adapt to the progress of tea science and technology.     Scope

    This journal only publishes innovative academic articles related to tea, mainly including the types of articles such as research full reports, research brief reports and systematic reviews.

    Channels and requirements of submission

    (1) The editorial office only uses the manuscripts submitted by the editing system (http://cykk.cbpt.cnki.net) on the website of the Journal of Tea Science (www.tea-science.com). When a manuscript is submitted, please be sure to fill in various relevant information on the editing platform, such as authors’ education background, academic degree, professional title, mobile phone number, E-mail, QQ and mailing address. The post-processing of manuscripts is completed in the editing system. The editing system can display and save the whole dynamic process of processing manuscripts.

    (2) Manuscripts from other submission channels will not be used.

    (3) Manuscripts shall not be submitted to other journal for simultaneous consideration. Once the editorial office finds it, the manuscripts will be rejected.

    (4) Required items and their order in manuscripts

    Article title→Authors’ names→Work units, addresses and zip codes→Abstract→Key words→Corresponding contents in English (including: article title, authors’ names, work units, addresses and zip codes, abstract, key words)→Body text→Acknowledgement (not required)→References→Brief introduction of the first author→Information about funds and projects (if there is)→Contact information of authors and other statements

    (5) Fonts and layout

    A finally confirmed manuscript in Word version shall be contributed (do not submit a manuscript in revision mode). The font of SimSun is used for Chinese characters, and the font of Times New Roman is used for western letters. The page size is A4, and all the margins are 2.6 cm. A single-column layout should be used, with a font size of 10.5 pt and a line spacing of 17 pt in body text. The word spacing is widened by 0.3 pt, and the first lines are indented by 2 characters.

    Article templates

    (1) Requirement of overall page settings

    The page margins: 2.6 cm for all the margins, the gutter margin is 0 mm, and the gutter position is left.

    The page size: width 21.3 cm, height 29.1 cm.

    The layout: a continuous section, and the headers and the footers on odd pages are different from those on even pages. The headers are 1.7 cm away from the border, and 0 cm for the footers. The vertical alignment of page is top alignment.

    The document network: one column, grid, and only the line network is specified, the line number is 41.

    The units of measurement: Chinese national standards are adopted. Units are presented in the form of product, such as mg·L-1,mg·L-1·d-1.

    The involved background knowledge, the cited materials and data should be accurate, and the used concepts, terms, symbols, formulas should be in accordance with academic standards. There should be no seriously mistranslated translation, or seriously mistranslated translation should not be used. Discussion on academic questions should be complete and systematic, and reasoning should be strict. Key words should be properly used. Do not make your own research results confused with other people’s opinions, materials, data, etc., and when others’ opinions, data, methods are cited, the source should be indicated. The format of references refers to the standard GB/T 7714-2015. Language should be refined and expression should be accurate. Sentences should conform to the modern Chinese norms, characters and punctuation used should be standardized and legal units of measurement should be used correctly.
